Hockey Fantasy Camp

Testimonials

Hi Bob,

I am just writing this to thank you for a true “Fantasy Camp”! I cannot express my gratitude or what it meant to me to walk in the locker room the first time. The detail that you and family put into the camp is something I will hold on to for ever. I had never know athletes past or present (Let alone Hockey Hall Of Fame Members) to be so open and just one of the guys, as the chosen people you brought in to represent your camp. Everyone from your wife, friends and sons were so genuine and accommodating it was like a family get together.

I will be pleased if you will have me back at your fantasy camp next year, not only as a participating but I would be truly great-full to again have my company name attached to your Camp! Bob you and your friends were and are a class act. Thank you for the experience

P.S sorry to let Sammi down wearing #99 and sitting beside him, that was crazy…lol

At age 73, I was apprehensive about being out of place.  Wrong.  I was treated royally by the Pros, the 'campers', Bob and his great support group. A 'five star' event from start to finish. An absolutely incredible experience, not to be missed, regardless of how many birthdays you've had.

PS: Bob - if you hadn't noticed already, I'm particularly proud of the nickname 'Trotts' hung on me.

Just a great time start to finish. From the location, hotel, houseboat and many day and nighttime social get togethers, it couldn't have been better.  There couldn't have been a better mix of NHL'ers and guests.  Good people make for good memories - we'll remember these ones forever!

Congratulations Bob on a great first event.........and many more to come.

Please keep us updated on your next one in 2009 as we will be spreading the word.

Thanks again Bob, it was a blast!

Hi Bob,

I hope you have had some time to catch up after a hectic camp.  Firstly,  I really want to thank you for the invite as both Trevan and I had a wonderful time.  I felt that your choice of pros was the key factor in making the campers feel like they were a part of the group.  That and the fact the pros made themselves so accessible and approachable thru out the camp made it a real intimate experience.  I really believe this can easily become a bigger camp with some promotion in the Vancouver area and beyond as I noticed most campers were from the Kelowna area  (simple idea - camp posters in all lower mainland rinks, etc ).  Let me know if you would like more input if you decide to take this further.  I will forward a total for the incidentials once i have a chance to sort it out.  By the way, I was at a charity event this weekend and West Coast authentics from Kelowna was there and the owner said you are doing an event with Mario soon in Vancouver or Kelowna.  I would appreciate a heads up of the dates if this is the case.  In the meantime, take care.

Regards,

Terry Eng

hockey greats fantasy camp was an opportunity for some terrific hockey fans to reminisce, socialize and vie with us former nhl players. the atmosphere was friendly and intimate with constant stories (some embellished) of our glory days. for me, the hot stove was a highlight as was the hospitality suite. i made many new friends while visiting with old teammates and alumni. kelowna was the ideal spot thanks to the hotel (please put in their name bob), the sponsors (optional to put in their names bob), and the friendly okanagan people. great job bob bourne and staff. keep me in mind for the future.
ps...billy smith and dave semenko were both first stars.

Hi Bob:  I've been working on a 'testimonial' . but having trouble condensing it to the point where I don't appear to trying for a Pulitzer Prize.  I will forward same by separate email soon.  I still find it hard to put in to words what a tremendous experience this Camp was.  I have a number of hockey buddies who can already attest to that.  I will continue to extoll the virtues of the Camp, and hope that this will result in a good showing of Nelsonites at future camps.  To say I had a great time is such an understatement.  I'm so glad that Dunc and Cam convinced me to attend, and I appreciate what you did to make that happen.  Sincerely, "Pops".

Hey Bob, Got your e-mail and It would be a snap to give a testimonial for the camp. First of all I can't express enough gratitude to you, your family and Dunc for giving me and my dad the opportunity to participate in one the most enjoyable weeks of my life. Everything from the registration process to the wrap-up banquet was first class all the way. Your hospitality, the Cove Resort, and the quality of the pros was all above and beyond my wildest expectations. Not only would I recommend this camp to anyone, it might be hard to shut me up about it. This is one week that I don't think I will ever forget, and for that I thank you, your family and Dunc.

Sincerely,

Cam McFadyen

Hey Bournie, I just wanted to take a moment and tell you how much I enjoyed the Hockey Greats Fantasy Camp, from a players prospective you, Dave and Justin put on a very professional camp as a matter of fact it reminded me of a real training camp at times, I hope and feel the campers felt the same way. The activities off the ice were exceptional from the golf, to the lake cruise, the hot stove conversations which lasted the whole camp, to the wrap-up dinner everything ran very smoothly. I can’t wait for next year’s camp my goal is to be 20lbs. lighter and much faster ha, ha.

It was great.

Hey Bob,

First of just want to thank you again for letting my dad and i participate, im sure he enjoyed it even more than i did.  I can imagine what it was like for some of the other players, but for myself i could only dream of meeting those players, let alone playing hockey with them, and further more just hangin out in the down time.  The golf was amazing, the effort and organization was unbelievable, all in all, a great camp.

Hope to see u next year,

Joel
